SEWER TILE FAUX BOIS PLANTER OR CACHE POT, ANTIQUE Date: circa 1900 Price: $225 Description: Sewer tile cache pot or planter pot in form of tree trunk with stumps and bark. Sewer tile pieces were made usually by workers in the sewer pipe factories, generally in Ohio where the good clay was found. At the end of the day they used left over pipe clay to make sculptural pieces such as planters, animals,and all sorts of other artistic forms which are now very collectable.
