Description: Vintage Swedish armillary sphere sundial, wrought iron, zinc, and copper in design of Atlas holding up the world. Design with his raised logo attributed to Sune Rooth, Swedish sculptor. Professionally cleaned and repainted. Early 20th century. 31 inches high and 17 3/4 inches wide. An armillary sphere is an astrological model with rings representing the chief celestial circles and demonstrates the basic principal circles of astrological motion and time. This is a traditional architectural piece for a garden.

This unusual jockey figure has been cast in a side viewing stance, with the original hitching horse ring in its hand, and stands on its original plinth. It has been professionally cleaned of a few remains of old yellow paint, primed and is ready to be painted in colorful silks. Description: Venetian Grotto chair,shell form, by Brown Jordon. Cast aluminum in original finish with impressed shell back, over upholstered slip seat and on cabriole legs. Heavy weight. Unusual and charming design. Mid 20th century. 37 inches high, 19 1/2 inches wide and 17 1/2 inches deep. $375. This chair design is based on a chair found in Pompei, Italy. It was latter called a grotto or Venetian chair in the 19th century and was made of painted pine wood and silvered in silver leaf. This Venetian chair design was a great favorite of the French artist Matisse and he painted it in many of his works. Unusual and charming. Makes a big statement! SALE $350.

This design chair was illustrated in iron foundry catalogs as early as 1850 and was a very popular design for porches etc. from then into the early 20th century.
