Description: Handsome large antique 19th century cast iron rectangular form planter box or 'Fern Box' with beautiful crisp design details of a large classical wreath on each side flanked by large fronds of acanthus leaves, with rings on each end and raised on decorative curled leafage feet. Very heavy weight and with drainage holes. Professionally cleaned and painted gloss black. This form was often called a "Fern Box" but could be planted many ways. 15 inches high, 24 inches wide and 13 inches deep. Circa 1870.

Description: Rare set of four antique cast iron rectangular jardiniere planters or "fern boxes", as they were often named in the 19th century. In an elegant French-Renaissance-style, their curved contours rise to scrolling upper corners and curled feet. These have been professionally cleaned and repainted black, ready to place. Each 11 inches high, 20 inches wide and 11 inches deep. Late 19th or very early 20th century.

Description: Unusual classical form zinc urn and custom cover, with bronze finish. Cast with fine detail with large lobed bowl with egg and dart lip. Custom ceramic cover has fine leafage detail with pine cone finial. In the 19th century cast iron urns with covers were often called 'winter urns'. They are rare to find today. Early 20th century. Height with cover 26 inches. Height without cover 14 1/2 inches. Base 10 1/2 inches. $350.

Description: Charming and unusual lead fountain of a turtle, cast with fine detail and plumbed with copper piping. 9"H. 13"W. 19"L. Made by FLORENTINE CRAFTSMEN, a prestigious New York City company founded in 1915 that specialized in the finest hand-crafted garden ornament. Now closed. This turtle fountain was featured in their catalog under Pond Statuary. Found in Florida estate.

Description: Lead fountain of PAN, the merry shepherd's and goatherds' god and also the gay companion of the woodland nymphs when they danced. He was a wonderful musician and played sweet melodies on his pipes of reed. This plumbed fountain of PAN is attributed to Florentine Craftsmen, a renowned New York garden ornament company, early 20th century, now closed. This fountain was featured on the cover of one of their catalogs. Water spouts from the pipes. 33"H. 12"W. 11"D. SOLD

Description: Gothic pattern bench or settee in the "Gothic" pattern patented in 1846 by the Carron Foundry in Scotland and which was quickly copied by American iron foundries by 1848. The Gothic name comes from the arched design of the back. Gothic pattern benches have been listed in inventories of the White House grounds since the 1850's and are in use there today. Description: Exceptional and rare large set of nine antique wrought steel garden benches and matching arm chairs with scrolled arms, backs and seats, circa 1880-1900. American. These pieces are very heavy weight with riveted construction. The design blends the precise edges of the rectangular outer form with soft,flowing inner contours providing very comfortable seating. The arm chairs are a very ample size. Can be custom painted any color to give various looks-- antique to mod to add to any setting. The set consists of three benches and six matching large arm chairs, nine pieces. A smaller set of one bench and two chairs can also be purchased. This large grouping of nine pieces is a very unusual find and would provide seating for a large area.
