Description: Extraordinary large cast iron garden urn with a 40 inch wide decorative bowl over a pedestal decorated with three large cranes. Labeled in casting on hexagonal base J.W. Fiske, N.Y. Circa 1875. This exceptional rare large urn measures 47 inches high and 40 inches wide. It is illustrated in the 1875 catalog of the J.L. Mott foundry so both New York foundries made this crane based design. This urn has been professionally cleaned, primed and repainted white. It would be an outstanding focal point in any garden.

Description: Rare cast iron bench associated with Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781-1841) the Prussian neo-classical architect who designed this pattern for the Roman Baths in Potsdam Park in 1835. The design was influenced by the early Roman furniture discovered in Pompeii and Herculaneum in the 18th century. The back rest and arms are curved for the comfort of the person seated in the bench. The motif of the back panels is a scrolled lyre flanked by classical winged figures. Note the ram's head arm terminals and cloven hoofed feet. Circa 1860-1880 cast possibly by a German foundry. 31 1/2 inches high, 44 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches deep. This bench has been professionally cleaned, primed and repainted white. A cast iron arm chair in this design by Schinkel is in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

These benches have been professionally cleaned of old layers of paint, then primed and repainted white. A charming and rare pair. Very heavy weight. 32 1/2 inches high, 39 inches wide and 25 inches deep.

Description: Handsome antique 19th century cast iron trough form planter box or 'Fern Box' with beautiful crisp design details of a large classical wreath on each side flanked by large fronds of acanthus leaves, with rings on each end and sitting on decorative curled leafage feet. Very heavy weight and with drainage holes. Professionally cleaned and painted gloss black. This form was often called a "Fern Box" but could be planted many ways. 15 inches high, 24 inches wide and 13 inches deep.
