Description: Three piece cast iron set in the fern pattern, wide 55 inch bench and two ample arm chairs, curved shaped seats, with indecipherable foundry name on rear of each piece. Early 20th century. American. Found in southern estate. The fern pattern was one of the earliest naturalistic designs originating in England with the Coalbrookdale Company in the mid 19th century and immediately copied by American foundries. Bench 33 inches high and 55 inches wide. Each chair 33 inches high and 24 inches wide.

Description: A large 19th century campana or bell shaped antique cast iron garden urn on original plinth or base. American. 42 inches high and 23 inches wide, and 20 square base. Two part with a egg and dart designed lip and a fluted and lobed bowl, this urn sits high on a large square decorated original plinth. This urn has been professionally cleaned and repainted a soft muted green color. This traditional form of garden urn with its upturned bell shape relates to early Greek vases from antiquity. In the 18th century plant-less urns or vases were placed with serious consideration often in the center of a garden or at intersecting paths or the end of an allee to form dramatic focal points in the garden. The beautiful form and detail of this large urn makes it a sculptural piece to draw the eye in the landscape. Price $1200.

Description: Antique "Rustic" pattern cast iron garden bench or settee in design of oak branches, leaves and acorns with the end supports of entwined snakes. 19th century American. This is a beautiful example of one of the earliest botanical patterns cast in iron, originally in England, as early as 1840, and then immediately copied by American foundries. This pattern is often mistakenly called "Twig". In old white paint this naturalistic designed seat would be a beautiful focal point in any style garden. 31 inches high, 35 inches wide and 21 inches deep. Price $1950.

Description: Round cast iron tilt top table, 19th century, with decorative border around the top, over ornate baluster pedestal base ending in tripartite feet. The hinged top tilts and locks upright for display or storage. Signed in two places in the casting: 'Rudy Groeger', probably name of foundry maker. Has been professionally cleaned and repainted. Late 19th century. This form was called a center or conservatory table in the 19th century and was placed in a garden or conservatory with chairs for serving light fare. This table form was illustrated in many 19th century iron foundry trade catalogs. American. Unusual form to find in antique garden pieces today. 29 1/2 inches high, 28 inches wide. 48 inches high when tilted. Description: Handsome antique 19th century cast iron trough form planter box or 'Fern Box' with beautiful crisp design details of a large classical wreath on each side flanked by large fronds of acanthus leaves, with rings on each end and raised on decorative curled leafage feet. Very heavy weight and with drainage holes. Professionally cleaned and painted gloss black. Description: Antique unusual round wire-work plant stand with intricate patterned border at the top, and scrolled and curled wrought iron legs ending in curled feet. In the 19th century machines were invented to extrude wire that was first used for fencing and then fanciful wire-work garden items such as plant stands,chairs and gazebos which became very popular for use in interiors and exteriors in the Victorian period. The foundries featured them in their catalogs along with cast iron urns and seating. This is a heavy round wire plant stand of that period. The round form is unusual. It has been stripped, primed and repainted a light green. 32 inches high 27 1/2 inches wide.
