Description: Sewer tile cache pot or planter pot in form of tree trunk with stumps and bark. Sewer tile pieces were made usually by workers in the sewer pipe factories, generally in Ohio where the good clay was found. At the end of the day they used left over pipe clay to make sculptural pieces such as planters, animals,and all sorts of other artistic forms which are now very collectable. This charming planter is a perfect piece for a special planting. 7 1/2 inches high, and 8 inches wide. $225.

Description: Large antique two part cast iron garden urn with large wide ribbed bowl with egg and dart border, resting on high tapering plinth decorated with raised design of urn, and swag decoration around lower base. 19th century. This urn has been professionally cleaned and painted a verdigris green color. 34"H. 21"W.bowl 17"D. base. A important single urn becomes a dramatic focal point at the end of a path or intersection of two garden paths, with or without plantings.

This urn has been professionally cleaned and painted verdigris green. Consider the use of a single urn as a dramatic focal point in your garden--at the end of a path or at the intersection of two garden paths. 36"H. 22"W.bowl 18"square base. Description: The classic design of this urn is called the Medici Urn, after a marble bell shaped urn sculpted in Athens 1st century AD as a garden ornament and now in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. This cast iron example of the Medici urn's bowl is decorated in high relief with Greek figures in a procession. The rim of the bowl is labeled with the the name Janes Beebe & Co. This 1850's foundry was located in Manhattan and then moved to the Bronx,N.Y. By 1859 the name was changed to Janes, Fowler, Kirkland & Company and they won the contract to replace the dome of the U.S. Capital Building with a new cast iron dome. The work was done at their foundry in the Bronx, N.Y. through out the Civil War. The Janes Beebe & Co. label dates this Medici urn to the 1850's. The socle of the urn on a square base is labeled Walbridge & Co. Buffalo, N.Y. so is a replacement. The urn has been professionally cleaned and repainted. 49 1/2"H. 23 1/2"W.

Description: Pair of unusual large cast iron garden urns, with lobed bowls and upright handles, antique, late 19th century 38"H. 24"W. These urns relate to French urns with similar handles shown in the circa 1870 trade catalog of The Societe Anonyme des Hauts-Forneaux & Fonderies du Val d'Osne, a group of designers and founders in France. J.W. Fiske Iron Wks. New York also made a similar urn with and without handles.
