Five piece cast iron set in the Fern pattern, two wide 55 inch benches and three ample arm chairs, with curved shaped seats. Early 20th century. American. Found in southern estate. Each piece of this set has been professionally cleaned and painted gloss black. The Fern pattern was one of the earliest naturalistic designs of cast iron furniture originating in England with the Coalbrookdale Company in the mid 19th century and immediately copied by American foundries. Benches 33 inches high and 55 inches wide. Chairs 33 inches high and 24 inches wide.
