An elegant and elaborate 19th century bench or settee and two matching arm chairs in the "Renaissance Scroll" pattern with flattened scrolls on the backs and arms over cabriole legs. American, circa 1870. A bench in this pattern is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC. and is illustrated in the catalog of their exhibit "19th Century America, Furniture and Other Decorative Arts, 1970."
