Description: Round cast iron tilt top table, 19th century, with decorative border around the top, over ornate baluster pedestal base ending in tripartite feet. The hinged top tilts and locks upright for display or storage. Signed in two places in the casting: 'Rudy Groeger', probably name of foundry maker. Late 19th century. This form was called a center or conservatory table in the 19th century and was placed in a garden or conservatory with chairs for serving light fare. This table form was illustrated in many 19th century iron foundry trade catalogs. American. Unusual form to find in antique garden pieces today. 29 1/2 inches high, 28 inches wide. 48 inches high when tilted. Description: 19th century cast iron pierced round top garden or conservatory table with open work hinged tilt top decorated with astrological symbols, over center pedestal resting on tripod base. This rare form of garden table was listed in the 19th century foundry catalogs as a 'Conservatory' table. Circa 1860-1880. American. 29 inches high and 32 inches wide. This table is beautifully cast with exceptional detail in the signs of the zodiac. For a similar round cast iron table but with a solid top please see item #14170.

Description: A large 19th century campana or bell shaped antique cast iron garden urn on original plinth or base. American. 42 inches high and 23 inches wide, and 20 square base. Two part with a egg and dart designed lip and a fluted and lobed bowl, this urn sits high on a large square decorated original plinth. This urn has been professionally cleaned and repainted a soft muted green color. This traditional form of garden urn with its upturned bell shape relates to early Greek vases from antiquity. In the 18th century plant-less urns or vases were placed with serious consideration often in the center of a garden or at intersecting paths or the end of an allee to form dramatic focal points in the garden. The beautiful form and detail of this large urn makes it a sculptural piece to draw the eye in the landscape.

Three available in a design with a pointed serrated top over over a flared ribbed body with spike below measuring 10 inches high and 5 1/4 inches wide. Priced at $95. each. These would date to the early to late 19th century. Today these vases are used for flower vases to place directly in the ground or mounted on a base such as wood for use as flower vases or candle holders etc.

This urn with its egg and dart lip and fluted body sits on it original plinth. It has been professionally cleaned and repainted black. Description: Handsome antique 19th century cast iron trough form planter box or 'Fern Box' with beautiful crisp design details of a large classical wreath on each side flanked by large fronds of acanthus leaves, with rings on each end and raised on decorative curled leafage feet. Very heavy weight and with drainage holes. Professionally cleaned and painted gloss black. This form was often called a "Fern Box" but could be planted many ways. 15 inches high, 24 inches wide and 13 inches deep. Circa 1870.
