STONE DOG SCULPTURE

A reclining carved steatite stone dog by noted Delaware stone sculptor Richard Bailey. 9"H. 18.5" deep 7"W. This dog is carved from steatite stone found near the Conowingo Dam in Maryland. A charming sculpture to feature in your home or garden. Richard Bailey studied at the Arts Students League in New York, studied under noted sculptor Jose de Creeft,and later worked in Carrara,Italy and at Vermont stone quarries. He is now retired.
