Description: A large late 19th century campana or bell shaped antique cast iron garden urn on original plinth or base. American. 42 inches high and 23 inches wide. 20 square base. With a egg and dart designed lip and a fluted and lobed bowl, the urn sits high on a large square decorated original plinth. This urn has been professionally cleaned and repainted a soft muted green color. This traditional form of garden urn with its upturned bell shape relates to early Greek vases from antiquity. Over the centuries single large urns have often been placed in the center of a garden as a focal point to be admired as an object of taste and refinement. This antique urn is quite large cast with attractive decorative detail, perfect for a garden focal point.

Description: Antique cast iron cemetery vases in two designs, three available in each design. One design is an elongated and ribbed vase with an asymmetrical top and spike below in old green paint. It measures 13 1/2 inches high and 5 1/4 inches wide. Price is $135. each. The other design is a vase with a pointed serrated top on a flared ribbed vase with a spike below measuring 10 inches high and 5 1/4 inches wide. Three are available and the price is $135. These would date to the early to late 19th century. Today these vases are uses for flower vases to place directly in the ground or mounted on a base such as wood as vases or candle holders etc. Very heavy iron, some with old green paint.

Description: Rare set of four very large cast stone planting pots decorated with black stone and crushed white marble aggregate and floral swags with ribbons. This is an exceptionally large and dramatic old set measuring 29 inches high and 22 1/2 inches wide. The square base measures 14 inches square. Circa 1900-1920. This type of aggregate decoration was achieved using finely crush coal and fine marble chips to give contrast and sparkle to the surface of garden pots of all designs. These four large unusual design pots would be dramatic placed in four corners of a garden or around a pool, each displaying a large plant or decorative tree. Sold as a set of four.

Description: Classical form campana or bell shape cast iron two part urn. This shape comes from Greek vases of the fifth and sixth centuries B.C. in Greece. This urn with its egg and dart lip and fluted body sits on it original plinth. It has been professionally cleaned and repainted black. Early 20th century. 27 inches high, 15 inches wide and 10 inch square base.

Description: Unusual antique 19th century cast iron trough form planter box, with attractive design detail of a large classical wreath on two sides flanked by large fronds of acanthus leaves, rings on each end and sitting on decorative feet. Heavy weight and with drainage holes. This form was often called a "Fern Box" but could be planted many ways. In attractive weathered light blue paint or it could be stripped and repainted to your custom specifications, if you so desire. 15 inches high, 24 inches wide and 13 inches deep. $750.

Description: Pair of cast iron double handled garden urns on custom high tapering plinths attributed to the J.L. Mott Iron Works or the J.W. Fiske Iron Works and shown in the Fiske Fdy. catalog of 1893 and identified as "Grecian Vase with Handles". This pair of urns or vases has beautiful double foliate handles, egg and dart motif around the rims of the lobed bowls, and sit on high tapered plinths decorated with classical wreaths, painted white. Bowls have good depth and drainage for planting. 43 inches high, 26 1/2 inches wide.

Description: Extraordinary large cast iron garden urn with a 40 inch wide decorative bowl over a pedestal decorated with three large cranes. Labeled in casting on hexagonal base J.W. Fiske, N.Y. Circa 1875. This exceptional rare large urn measures 47 inches high and 40 inches wide. It is illustrated in the 1875 catalog of the J.L. Mott foundry so both New York foundries made this crane based design. This urn has been professionally cleaned, primed and repainted white. It would be an outstanding focal point in any garden. SOLD

Description: Pair of Mute Swan design cast iron planting pots, with drainage holes, swans painted white with orange bills and good detail to their casting. Mute swans, a Eurasian species, were introduced to the U.S. in the 19th century. They are noted for their orange bills. Trumpeter Swans, a native species, have black bills. 15 1/2 inches high, 18 inches deep and 11 inches wide. Sold as a pair. $695.
